"Sigh no more, ladies, sigh no more;
Men were deceivers ever;
One foot in sea and one on shore,
To one thing constant never;
Then sigh not so,
But let them go,
And be you blithe and bonny;
Converting all your sounds of woe
Into. Hey nonny, nonny.
Sing no more ditties, sing no mo,
Or dumps so dull and heavy;
The fraud of men was ever so,
Since summer first was leavy.
Then sigh not so,
But let them go,
And be you blithe and bonny,
Converting all your sounds of woe
Into Hey, nonny, nonny." Balthasar (Act 2, Scene 2, p.26)

One thing the song says that the nature of men is that "Men were deceivers ever". I think that he is saying that men only like to trick women into them thinking otherwise about something. The song also states that "The fraud of men was ever so". I think that means men are only frauds and liars.
The song recommends women to "... let them go". The meaning of that is saying that women should just forget about the man if he just lies and cheats on her. The song also says "then sigh not so" which i think means that women should not be sad and they should just move on.
I do not agree with what the song says. The song says that "Men were deceivers ever" and "fraud of men was ever so". That is saying that men are dirty liars and cheaters. Not all men are the same. If a women wants the right guy, then she shouldn't be going for the wrong ones.
The song reflects that how Benedick used, played, and lied to women in the past and how he should get his stuff together and settle down with someone he loves before he loses them. So this song is like a wake up call for Benedick.
I think that Don Pedro and his minions used this song because it reflects what Benedick has been doing to women in the past because Benedick never settled down with a women and only uses women.
